What You’ll Do

As our Mechanic, you’ll take the lead on maintaining, repairing, and optimizing our vehicles and equipment. Your work ensures our feedyard stays productive and safe, and that downtime is kept to a minimum. Here’s what your days will look like:

Equipment & Vehicle Maintenance
Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on company vehicles and equipment, ensuring everything runs smoothly and reliably.
Diagnose mechanical issues, develop repair strategies, and see repairs through from start to finish.
Complete maintenance and repair tasks efficiently and on schedule.
Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections.

Inventory & Shop Management
Maintain an organized inventory of parts, supplies, and tools—receiving, inspecting, and tracking stock levels.
Notify management of low stock or discrepancies and help keep our shop well-supplied.
Keep the shop and surrounding areas clean, safe, and organized at all times.
Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.

Fleet Management
Oversee preventative maintenance and inspections as part of our fleet program.
Report any issues or concerns with company vehicles promptly, ensuring safety and compliance.

Teamwork & Communication
Work closely with other mechanics, team members, and management to ensure a smooth workflow.
Communicate effectively with company personnel and external vendors in a professional, courteous manner.
Share knowledge and support the development of best practices in vehicle and equipment maintenance.

Other Responsibilities
Jump in to assist with other company operations as needed.
Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and new technologies in equipment and vehicle maintenance.
Demonstrate initiative and adaptability when new challenges arise.
What We’re Looking For
Experience in vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair (ag, fleet, or heavy equipment experience is a plus!).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Commitment to safety protocols and company policies.
A collaborative, team-oriented attitude and excellent communication skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and practices.
