Chuck Hurst

Nutritionist

Chuck Hurst is the trusted expert behind InterMountain Beef’s feeding programs, bringing a remarkable depth of knowledge and a legacy of excellence to our team. Chuck has served as our Nutritionist since 1991, guiding our cattle nutrition strategies with unmatched expertise and commitment.


Chuck’s academic credentials are as unique as his career: he earned his Master’s in Feedlot Nutrition from the University of Idaho in 1976—the only one ever awarded by the university. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science from the University of Idaho, class of 1973.


Beyond his professional achievements, Chuck is a family man through and through. He’s been happily married to his wife, Genie, for 55 years, and is the proud father of two daughters. When he’s not optimizing cattle rations or consulting with our team, you’ll find Chuck gardening, soaking up the sunshine, or enjoying quality time with his family and friends.


Chuck’s experience, wisdom, and caring approach are at the heart of our feedlot’s success. We’re grateful for his decades of service and the steady guidance he brings to InterMountain Beef.
